The project consists of: The University of Maine System is seeking improvements to hardscapes in and around the Wishcamper Center and Osher Map Library (OML) also known as the Glickman Library on Bedford Street in Portland, Maine (the Site). The work focuses on improving accessibility, safety, durability, and aesthetics of pedestrian hardscape areas serving the Wishcamper and OML buildings, while maintaining building access during construction and respecting existing site constraints. The primary project goals of the project include: o Achieving ADA-compliant, wheelchair-friendly surfaces; o Repairing or replacing degraded permeable asphalt and hardscape elements; o Improving entrances and pedestrian circulation; and o Opportunistically removing hardscape and restore green space.
