The Town of Pownal is requesting statements of interest and qualifications, as well as a cost proposal, from engineering firms or individuals with the appropriate experience and qualifications to provide a comprehensive inspection of the existing salt and sand shed Scope of work includes: - Replace any wooden siding that has been damaged from impact - Replace metal roof sections that are damaged - Reinforce the fractured steel column sections Deliverables: - An estimate for inspecting the building to provide a comprehensive report and estimate to repair the building deficiencies - An approximate timeline to complete the estimate Instructions to bidders: - Include 3 references from projects with a similar scope of work - Provide six (6) copies of the sealed submission packet and one thumb drive with a PDF version to the specified address; label as Town of Pownal - Sand/Salt Shed Remediation - It is solely the responsibility of the proposer to ensure timely delivery - Late proposals will not be considered Question Deadline 12/29/2025 Any and all questions regarding this RFP should be directed to administrator@pownalmaine.org no later than December 24, 2025. Any questions received after this date will not be considered. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this RFP, an addendum will be posted on the website. It will be the individual respondent's responsibility to check the website for updates. The Town of Pownal's Select Board will review the submissions. The Town, at its discretion, may interview the top-ranked firms and/or individuals. From this process, the Town may select the successful firm and/or individuals. During the evaluation process, the Town reserves the right to contact individuals or firms to clarify information, provide additional information, and/or participate in a meeting or interview, or to allow corrections of errors or omissions.
