The successful contractor shall: - Obtain all necessary local and state permits for demolition and transport. - Disconnect and cap all utilities (water, sewer, gas, electrical) in coordination with utility providers. - Demolish the structure safely and in compliance with OSHA and Maine DEP regulations. - Remove all debris and transport to a licensed disposal or recycling facility. - Grade and level the site post-demolition for safety. - Ensure minimal disruption to neighboring properties and roadways. - Provide erosion and sedimentation control as needed during demolition. Note: Concrete slab and foundation shall remain undisturbed on site. The City of Presque Isle is seeking qualified contractors to provide demolition services for the removal of a structure located at 4 Ryan Street, Presque Isle, Maine. The building is an old warehouse. The City will cover all tipping/disposal fees. This RFP includes demolition, debris removal, and transportation of all materials to an approved disposal facility. Concrete slab and foundation are to remain in place. Submitted proposals must include: - Contractor name, address, and contact information. - Proof of insurance and bonding capacity. - Relevant experience with similar demolition projects. - Proposed project timeline (including estimated start and completion dates). - Total lump sum cost for all demolition and hauling activities (excluding tipping fees). - Names of all subcontractors (if applicable). Contractor shall provide proof of the following: - General Liability Insurance ($1,000,000 minimum per occurrence) - Workers' Compensation (in compliance with Maine law) - Vehicle Liability Insurance The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. - The City is not responsible for any costs incurred in preparing or submitting proposals. - The awarded contractor must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
