Site work and paving for a civil project in Saco, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project includes a Base Bid and One Bid Alternate as further described below: Base Bid - Replacement of a 66" diameter corrugated metal culvert beneath Boom Road at unnamed tributary to the Saco River. The proposed project will replace the existing culvert with a single precast concrete box structure with inlet and outlet wingwalls. The clear opening dimensions of the new precast concrete box structure shall be 16' wide by 6' high and overall length of 72'. The work also includes restoration of all disturbed areas, including placement and compaction of subbase (24" thickness) and base 3" thickness) gravels within the roadway. Bid Alternate 1 - Placement of binder and surface pavement courses and resetting metal guardrail within the project work zone. All work associated with this contract shall be completed by September 30, 2025. The active construction period within Boom Road shall be restricted to 60 calendar days, excluding any approved periods of work shut down, between July 15, 2025 and September 30, 2025.
