Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Waterford, Maine. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
The project involves the removal of the existing culvert and the installation of a precast concrete box culvert (supplied by the Town) and retaining wall system, gravel base and subbase, riprap, and other related incidental items on Blackguard Road in Waterford. The Town of Waterford is supplying the precast concrete box culvert. The contractor shall supply the retaining wall system. All bidders must furnish a completed Bid Form, an Experience Record, a list of all subcontractors to be utilized on the project, and a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check made out to the Town of Waterford. The successful bidder must furnish a Certificate of Insurance, a 100% Construction Performance Bond, and a 100% Construction Payment Bond. The Town of Waterford reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form as needed in order to stay within the project budget, to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Waterford, not necessarily the lowest bid. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
