Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
General Conditions A. The contractor shall be solely responsible for verifying all existing dimensions, quantities, and job site conditions prior to submitting his/her bid. B. Contractor will be required to schedule all work with the Project Manager. C. The work must be performed Monday through Thursday or as approved by the Project Manager to not interfere with ongoing facility operations. D. Any use of existing parking areas shall be requested in advance. E. Contractor’s use of premises: • Contractor shall limit their use on the premises for work and storage, to allow for owner’s occupancy • Contractor shall coordinate use of premises under direction of Owner representative, assume full responsibility for the protection and safe-keeping of products under this contract stored on-site, and move any stored products under Contractor’s control which interfere with operations of the owner. Demolition Work A. Contractor to remove existing window and exterior doors assemblies along with roll-up windows, storefront, louvers, and louvered doors and dispose of at the City’s discretion. B. Contractor shall be responsible to remove all debris from the site daily. C. Contractor must not allow materials and debris generated daily to be disposed of in an illegal manner. D. Demolish as required to accomplish work. All required demolition shall be included in the base bid package submitted by the contractor. E. The contractor must be careful to maintain security alarms, etc. for all parts of items to remain. F. Contractor shall take proper care to protect and close off work area as required for normal facility operation. G. Building may be in use during the demolition. A Proposal Security shall be required, only for bidders that have a total cumulative base proposal amount that exceeds $200,000. Proposal Security shall be in the amount of 5% of the total cumulative base amount proposed. Regardless of the awarded contract amount, two (2) separate bonds (Payment and Performance Bonds) are required, and both must be approved by the City. The penal sum stated in each bond shall be 100% of the contract price. For all other questions related to this solicitation, please contact the Procurement Department at purchasing@ppines.com. Question Due Date: March 24, 2025, 11:30pm The work shall be completed within 120 calendar days from issuance of the City's Notice to Proceed (NTP), with an estimated start date of May 8, 2025. The City of Pembroke Pines reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts of bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request rebids. The City also reserves the right to award a contract on such items(s) or service(s) the City deems will best serve its interests. All bids shall be awarded to the most responsive/responsible proposer, provided the (City) may for good cause reject any bid or part thereof. It further reserves the right to award a contract on a split order basis, or such combinations as shall best serve the interests of the City unless otherwise specified. No premiums, rebates or gratuities permitted, either with, prior to, or after award. This practice shall result in the cancellation of said award and/or return of items (as applicable) and the recommended removal of proposer from bid list(s).
