**As of July 16,2025, the project was awarded to JJR Construction Inc., with an awarded amount of $3,156,486.20.** Location and Description. The Project is located at East Bayshore Rd between Menalto Ave & East Bayshore Rd intersection and Euclid Ave & East Bayshore Rd intersection and is described as follows: This project involves comprehensive improvements to public infrastructure within the project limits. The scope includes the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and gutters to enhance pedestrian and vehicular accessibility and safety. ADA-compliant curb ramps will be constructed to ensure full accessibility in accordance with current local, federal and state standards. Pavement improvements will include localized pavement replacement, full-depth repairs where necessary, and the application of a slurry seal to extend pavement life and improve surface quality. Traffic signage and striping will be installed or replaced to enhance traffic control and roadway visibility, along with updated pavement markings to reflect new configurations or improvements. Additional work will include the installation or modification of storm drain inlets, manholes, piping and biofiltration basins to improve drainage capacity and prevent flooding. Stormwater pollution prevention measures will be implemented during construction to comply with environmental regulations and minimize runoff impacts. The project will also involve demolition of existing deteriorated or non-compliant infrastructure, installation of new or replacement electrical conduits and street lighting to improve public safety and visibility, and the adjustment of surface utility covers to match new grades. Temporary traffic control measures will be implemented throughout the construction period to ensure the safety of the public and workers. Overall, the project target is to improve the infrastructure functionality, improve pedestrian and vehicular safety, and bring the corridor into compliance with modern accessibility and environmental standards. Questions or requests for clarifications regarding the Project, the bid procedures, or any of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing to Batool Zaro, Senior Engineer, at bzaro@cityofepa.org . The Project must be fully completed within 190 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents. Question Deadline 05/08/2025 Questions or requests for clarifications regarding the Project, the bid procedures, or any of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing to Batool Zaro, Senior Engineer, at bzaro@cityofepa.org . Oral responses are not authorized and are not binding on the City. Bidders should submit any such written inquiries at least five Working Days before the scheduled bid opening. Questions received any later might not be addressed before the bid deadline. An interpretation or clarification by City in response to a written inquiry will be issued in an addendum.
