Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Nampa, Idaho. Completed plans call for the construction of a 23,000-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The City of Nampa (City) is requesting proposals for Construction Manager/General Contractor Services for the Citys Fleet Services Building, beginning with construction Document Phase / Pre-Construction Services through Project Construction, including the one-year period of correction following project completion. The City of Nampa is looking for a Construction Manager who will be a team player eager to work closely and in harmony with the City of Nampa and the Design Team. Director of Transportation Public Works 500 12 th Avenue S Nampa, ID 83651 (208) 468-5520 craigc@cityofnampa.us And Copy Doug Adams, Superintendent, Fleet Services at adamsdr@cityofnampa.us The scope of work includes the design and construction of approximately 23,000 sq.ft. / (100'x 230') pre-engineered steel Fleet Services Building with Service Bays and Fleet Department Offices as depicted in Appendix C, with related site work located at 0 Shannon Blvd., Nampa, Idaho 83703. The building will house the Nampa Fleet Services Department that provides automotive maintenance services to the City of Nampa vehicle fleet. The building shall be equipped with: o Approximately 23,000 sq.ft. / (100'W x 230'L x 24'Eave Height). Dimensionally 100' minimum width to accommodate a 75' tractor trailer combo to be pulled fully inside shop and have doors closed or as close as possible to identified exterior dimensions to meet engineering requirements, specific owner needs will be discussed during design o Parts room and office area access should resemble outlines in Appendix C as closely as possible o Approximately 4,000 sq.ft. office/parts room space o Parts room area to have roll up loading bay door o Loading bay door to be motorized with up/down controls on the interior adjacent to door o Parts loading bay door to be a minimum of 10' x 10' or as close as possible to meet engineering needs o Parts room area to have exterior "man-door" located as close as possible to loading bay door o Specific owner needs will be discussed during design o Approximately 19,000 sq.ft. shop area o Breakroom area to serve as dual purpose training area with full kitchen, cabinets, and cupboards. Full stove/oven is preferred, microwave, and sink at minimum. o Office space and parts room FF&E to include desks and workstations, shop floor FF&E is not required o Shop floor area to have adequate 110v and 220v outlets along the length (long side) of the interior walls, owner needs will be discussed during design o Shop floor area to have adequate compressed air and water outlets along the length (long side) of the interior walls, owner needs will be discussed during design o The shop shall have heating and cooling sufficient to keep operating temperatures between 60 oF and 80 oF with the bay doors closed o The office area shall have heating and cooling sufficient to keep operating temperatures between 60 oF and 80 oF with the exterior doors closed o Make-up air system to evacuate CO2 to be installed of adequate size to meet current regulations for finished shop area o Shop to include gantry crane, opposite of office space on long side, spanning at least two pullthrough heavy truck bays, as shown in Appendix C o Shop to include oil and fluids room with spill containment (with recessed floor or other approved spill containment method) o Shop to have as many vehicle bay doors as possible to accommodate anticipated vehicle volume and to account for a 40-year growth projection o Shop area portion to have approximately 20 (depending on structural engineering needs) roll up bay doors for vehicle access as well as multiple "man-doors" for foot traffic o Bay doors to be motorized with up/down controls located on the interior adjacent to each door o Bay doors to be a minimum of 14' x 14' or as close as possible to meet engineering needs o Portions of bay doors to have transparent panels to allow for ambient lighting o Specific owner needs will be discussed during design o Overhead reel system for fluid products (engine oil, transmission fluid, gear oil, air, water, etc.) to be installed centrally at several locations to support vehicle maintenance operations o Shop, office, and parts room to have adequate lighting inside and out of the structure o Offices, parts room, and break room area to have exterior windows to allow for ambient lighting o Specific owner needs will be discussed during design o Office and parts room area to be contiguous on the ground floor, and include mezzanine storage space equal to the footprint of said space o Light duty shop floor concrete to be of adequate thickness to support anchored 2-post upright vehicle lifts of up to 15,000 lb. capacity each o Heavy duty shop floor concrete to be of adequate thickness to support 150,000 lb. HETRA lift capacities (15,000 lbs. each x 10 lifts)
