The project includes the addition of up to five classrooms (similar in size and style to existing classrooms), reconfiguring existing hallways, restrooms, and safety work throughout the campus. The Construction/Design Firm selected through this RFP will provide conceptual design options and proceed through schematic design, design development, bidding, construction documents, and construction administration. Cost estimates must be provided at each design phase. The scope of services will include the hiring and management of sub-consultants necessary for the successful completion of the project. Subcontractors will be paid through the fee the District pays to the selected Construction/Design Firm. Previously, the District Maintenance Committee reviewed and approved an RFP for competitive bidding to deliver the redesign of the High School through a Construction Manager/General Contractor ("CM/GC") delivery method. This RFP will be used to select a Construction/Design Firm well-qualified to deliver the requested services within a CM/GC context. Responses to this RFP will be reviewed, scored, and ranked according to the criteria and process defined in the RFP. The District will select a Construction Firm it determines to be the most qualified to provide the necessary services to redevelop the property through a CM/GC delivery method. The District may reject any proposal not in compliance with all prescribed solicitation procedures and requirements and other applicable law, and may reject any or all proposals in whole or in part when the cancellation or rejection is in the best interest of the District.
