Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Ukiah, California. Working plans call for the construction of a 81,169-square-foot, four-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a 160-space, four-acre municipal facility.
As of May 21, 2024, this project is in design development and is now expected to commence March 2025. As of July 11, 2023, a Design/Build team has been selected. Hensel Phelps will be working with Fentress Architects as the Design/Build team. The Project will entail construction of a new seven-courtroom courthouse of approximately 82,000 square feet in the city of Ukiah. The Project includes secured parking for judicial officers and will provide approximately (160) parking spaces with solar power generation capability. The Project will be located on a Judicial Council-owned site located in the city of Ukiah. The facility is anticipated to be 3-4 floors. The Project includes (7) courtrooms, (7) judge's chambers, jury deliberation rooms, administrative and clerical areas, IT staff spaces, public spaces, building support space, secure in-custody sally port, and secure in-custody holding areas at courtrooms and central holding. The acquired site is approximately 4.10 acres bounded by E. Perkins Street and E. Clay Street. The Original Target GMP for the Construction Work for the Project was $103,857,300.00 but has been amended to $144,924,000.
