Eat some turkey, then gobble up construction leads.

Our commercial construction data is best paired with a recliner and some football.

Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Palo Alto, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 53,405-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility; 83,344-square-foot parking garage; and fire / police facility.

The Public Safety Building (PSB) is a new 48,917 square-foot (SF), three-story police station, fire administration, and emergency communications and operations facility. The PSB will be located on an existing City-owned parking lot C-6 in the California Avenue business district in Palo Alto, CA. The new PSB includes two full-block subterranean floors of secure police and staff parking (83,344 SF) and shares its parcel with a site utility yard, a public plaza, perimeter landscaping and exterior site buildings (4,488 SF). The building address will be 250 Sherman Avenue and is bounded by Sherman Avenue on the south, Park Boulevard on the east, Jacaranda Lane (alley) on the north, and Birch Street to the west. The PSB will be a secure, essential services facility designed to provide 24/7 standalone operations after a major disaster. The facility design will incorporate building resiliency, redundancy, and hardening strategies which will support its survivability and immediate occupancy following a significant earthquake. The structural frame is to be constructed from cast-in-place concrete. The above-grade three story portion includes an envelope of brick at the pedestrian level, a tile-clad precast concrete second floor accented with painted steel detailing, and a glassy third floor office level. Due to the anticipated water table and restrictions on dewatering in Palo Alto, the project will utilize a water-exclusionary shoring system (cut-off wall) to limit groundwater entering the excavation during basement construction. This will necessitate a blindside waterproofing application.
