Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a 572,400-square-foot, 304-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; 10-story above grade, 70-unit multi-residential development; for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; and clubhouse / community center.
Phase 1 construction of a new 10-storey institutional building + mechanical penthouse, containing 80 emergency shelter beds, 100 transitional shelter beds, 124 long-term care beds, 70 supportive housing units, and a 2,269 sq m community hub. The proposal would replace the existing Seaton House men's shelter. Properties are: 295-349 George Street. TIMELINE: Designs are underway. Owner is awaiting rezoning approvals from the city of Toronto. Project will now be delivered through a Construction Management approach. Pending owner's decision to proceed, Phase 1 construction is estimated to start by Q4 of 2026; occupancy by late 2029. Further update early spring 2026. *Construction cost has yet to be finalized.
