Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a municipal facility in Greenbelt, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 2,100,000-square-foot municipal facility.
The U.S. General Services Administration has selected 61 acres in Greenbelt, Maryland, as the site for the new home for the FBI headquarters campus.Greenbelt, MD will be the new location. The advantage for Greenbelt was that while the land was owned by WMATA and the State of Maryland, both had made a commitment to sell it and construction could begin 33 months after closing the sale. $26.2M to construct. GSA will now work on acquiring the site and submitting a comprehensive project fact sheet to Congress. As of January 29, 2024, it is currently unknown if an architect, construction manager, and general contractor have been contracted with the school district.
