Demolition, site work and new construction of a medical facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 59,000-square-foot, one-story above grade medical facility.
Construction of a new 59,000 sq ft emergency department on the west side of the property, in place of the existing Chael and West Annex. This will be a brownfield construction project. Scope of work include the demolition of the existing buildings on the site with the exception of the family medicine building on the far west side of the property. Work will also include modifications to utilities/services to ensure the building can remain operational. Estimated cost of construction is $45,000,000 (including contingencies). Total budget is $65,000,000 (includes soft costs, equipment, furnishing, and IT). Pre-qualified Construction Management firms have been listed. Anticipated Timelines: West Annex and Chapel - Demolition 9 months/Q1 2019 Contract Document - 12 Months/Q3 2019 Main Building Tender - 1 Month/Q3 2020 Main Building Construction - 34 Months/Q3 2020
