Construction of a new park and ride facility. The Warden Site is located on the west side of Warden Avenue, north of the westward continuation of Enterprise Boulevard in the City of Markham. The vacant land is owned by York Region, and is comprised of 9.4 acres, part of which sits on a flood plain. This property is proposed for development as the first part of the Region's larger Park and Ride strategy to connect commuters with the vivaNext corridors. In addition, the Region is interested in obtaining background site investigations and assessments to explore the potential to integrate the Park and Ride facility with site building development. TIMELINE: This project has been placed on indefinite hold by the owner. A design study was completed in 2021 by the architect, and forwarded to the owner. Coverage has been discontinued at this time.
