The North Waterfront Park will be a 6.63 acre park with a performance venue with a minimum 62 foot wide by 55 foot deep fixed stage and feature a state of the art sound system, a minimum 2,800 square foot artist wing, back of the house motor coach connection capabilities allowing all performers to use and hear activities on the stage, extensive fiber optic based video infrastructure and capacity for 1,983 temporary fixed seats and 8,017 person lawn capacity. Park program components include nearly one mile of trails, sidewalks, boardwalk, 13,000 square feet of garden area, 80,500 square feet of open lawn space, a pedestrian promenade/entrance, a splash plaza, hardscape plazas, food and beverage concession facilities, office space for park staff, restrooms, connections to the existing Riverwalk, a children play area and various other park amenities and site work to include extension of the Old Front Street right-ofway, grading, utility work and stormwater management. Completed pre-qualification forms are due in our office by January 30, 2019 for all bid packages. Subcontractors shall not be allowed to submit a bid unless it has been prequalified in accordance with the City’s Policy. Subcontractors are invited to attend the Prequalification and HUB Outreach Information Session at the Coastline Convention Center, 501 Nutt St. Wilmington North Carolina, on Wednesday January 16, 2019 from 10AM – 12 Noon.
