Site work and addition to a municipal facility in Mount Hope, West Virginia. Design plans call for the addition of a 19,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The project calls for the restoration and adaptive reuse of a historic structure for the purposes of a visitor's center. The facility will include office space for the Coal Heritage Highway Authority, visitor services, restrooms, a gift shop, and a coffee shop / snack bar. As of May 1, 2019, the project is on hold pending further review. A timeline for general contractor selection has not been finalized. Construction is not expected to begin prior to the third quarter of 2019.
