The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is soliciting quotes forconstruction of the Hurricane Creek Pipe Improvements project for the replacement of the existing gravity trunk sewer with approximately 16,100 linear feet of new 30-inch to 8-inch DIP, PVC, and/or FRMP pipe materials. The project includes 6 trenchless bore crossings of railroads and roadways, manholes, special structure, CIPP lining, sewer service connections, abandoned sewer grouting, restoration, re-vegetation, and appurtenances. The project also includes demolition of abandoned wastewater treatment tankage, construction of graveled equipment storage relocation areas, compliance with restrictive special easement conditions, construction in wetlands, construction in existing pipe trenches, coordination with multiple utilities for protection and preservation of utility service, constrained access and work areas and other work as required by the Contract Drawings and Specifications. The Hurricane Creek Pipe Improvements project is located in southeast Davidson County in the southeastern portion of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant's service area. The project begins in Rutherford County at Firestone Parkway then follows along the creek border of Rutherford County and Davidson County, crossing railroads and Murfreesboro Road (state highway) to the Hurricane Creek Pump Station which is located at 5404 Hickory Woods Drive. Bonds A Payment and Performance Bond is required for a contract award exceeding $100,000. The awarded firm shall submit a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond as a condition precedent to a contract or purchase order. Documentation of bonds shall be in a format acceptable to Metro.
