Renovation of a transportation facility in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Project includes removal and replacement of portions of pier structure, including crane rails, decking and piling, dredging of 48,000 CY of sediment, and under pier slope stabilization; as well as the installation of an electrical substation and utility upgrades to make the facility capable of accepting 18,000 TEU cargo vessels. Cost estimate is $150,000,000 to $180,000,000 As of November 11, 2019, this project is under construction having begun July 2019. Phase one of the project is set to be completed by 2021 with phase two slated to be finished in 2023.
