New construction and renovation of a stadium in Wichita, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium; and for the construction of a 36,000-square-foot, two-story above grade stadium.
Scope of work includes, the construction of the Student-Athlete Success Center, a 36,000-square-foot facility devoted to the academic and athletic development of Wichita State student-athletes. Renovation of administrative offices inside Charles Koch Arena to create more space for the men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball programs. All sub trades have been confirmed. While a firm timeline for construction has yet to be determined, construction is anticipated to be completed by July 2020. As of June 22, 2016, the project is currently in the fundraising stage. It is in pre-design. There is no firm timeline for construction but it is not expected to start before the first quarter of 2017.
