Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Chugiak, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This phase will provide needed facility enhancements with specific improvements to include engineering assessment of septic system; landscape upgrades; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) upgrades; apartment renovations; and other safety/code upgrades at Chugiak-Eagle River Senior Center (CERSC). CERSC is a 100,000 sq. ft. facility built in 1975 that provides 42 independent, 20 affordable housing units, and 20 assisted living units plus 100-250 meals per day as well as over a dozen other programs for the Center and the community. The project is included in the municipality's 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 19, 2024 information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
