Site work and new construction of a library in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 40,000-square-foot, two-story above grade library.
Construction of a new replacement for James McConnell Memorial Library. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual. A site selection study/suitability analysis has been completed by the consultant. The existing library location has been identified as the preferred location however, a final decision has yet to be rendered by the council. Scope of work and timelines for design and construction to be determined. Further update may be available late 2025/2026.
