New construction of a mixed-use development in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 92,880-square-foot, two-story above grade fitness / recreation center.

The City of Victoria is requesting proposals for construction management (for services and construction) for the Crystal Pool & Wellness Centre Replacement Project. The form of contract for construction management services will be the CCDC 5A 2010 Construction Management Contract with the intention that, if the City proceeds to construction in respect of one or more Work Packages, then the construction manager will assume the responsibility of general contractor for the Project in respect of such Work Package(s) and enter into a CCDC 2 2020 Stipulated Price Contract therefor. The goal of the Project is to deliver a high-quality health and wellness facility that is climate resilient and universally accessible. The following goals and objectives reflect the core principles established through Council direction and community engagement. Inclusive: Creating a facility that caters to the needs of a range of different users. Accessible: Ensuring access to the facility and all its parts. Efficient & Sustainable: Reducing energy usage and minimizing the carbon footprint of the new facility. High-Quality Health & Wellness Facility: Creating a multi-use facility that accommodates a wide range of health and wellness activities. Place for Community: Creating a facility that is welcoming and enables community-building.
