Site work and paving for a civil project in Peterborough, Ontario. Design plans call for paving for a road / highway; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Road reconstruction and upgrades to watermains and sewers, Sherbrooke Street - Glenforest Boulevard to West City Limit. This project will involve asphalt pavement, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk(s), bike lanes, storm and sanitary sewers, turning lanes and signalization. The project is to improve the road condition along the east/west arterial street to an urban cross section. This project also includes the sanitary sewer and urbanization of Hywood Road. TIMELINE: Design is underway. The question period from public has concluded. All feedback will be taken in concideration and incorporated into the detailed design. This project is planned to be constructed in multiple phases, with the anticipated phasing as follows, subject to funding approvals: Phase 1 (2026): Property Acquisitions. Phase 2 (2027): Utility relocations. Phase 3 (2028): Reconstruction of Sherbrooke Street from Glenforest Boulevard to Woodglade Boulevard. Phase 4 (2029): Reconstruction of Sherbrooke Street from Woodglade Boulevard to the West City Limit. The phasing details are estimates, and could be subject to change as the project further develops. Further update in early 2027.
