The purpose of this Request for Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualifications (the RFEOI/SOQ) is a 2-stage procurement process and comprises of: A. An invitation by Centre Block Phase 1 Joint Venture (CB1-JV) on behalf of the City of Surrey (the City), Simon Fraser University (SFU) and their respective affiliates (collectively Joint Venturers) for responses (each, a Response) from interested and qualified parties (each a Respondent) indicating their interest in and qualifications to provide the provision of Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the Lot 1 Building of the Centre Block Development in the City of Surrey for a proposed combined office building and school of medicine (the Project), and B. After identification of a shortlist of Respondents to be available to participate in a subsequent procurement phase (the Request for Proposalsor RFP) for the Project, which the CB1-JV in its sole discretion, may elect to undertake. The successful Proponent of the 2 stage RFP will serve in the capacity of CMAR on behalf of CB1-JV, and, as may be requested, by SFU and the City.
