Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 393,420-square-foot, nine-story above grade educational facility; and laboratory facility.
Endeavoring to expand both teaching and research space, the University of Calgary is proceeding with the development of the Multi-Disciplinary Science Hub (MDSH) project. The intent of this procurement process is to select a construction management firm to provide CM services for the project. To complete this project on a timely and cost-effective manner, the University is focused on retaining a high-performance Construction Manager to support the project delivery through comprehensive construction planning, constructability advice, estimating, risk mitigation and scheduling services. The selected Construction Manager will actively work with the University’s internal team, project management team and prime consultant team from the pre-construction phase through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
