Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Saint-Hubert, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and transportation facility.
The project aims to implement a structuring mode of public transport in the axis of boulevard Taschereau and in the axis of the extension of the yellow line to meet the mobility needs of the urban agglomeration of the city of Longueuil and the south crown, with a view to offering a competitive alternative to the use of the automobile. The project includes the extension of the subway line with construction of stations and construction of tramway lines on Taschereau boulevard. The value of the project is preliminary estimated to be as high as $800,000,000. TIMELINE: The project is in a preliminary stage and is entered as a project under study on the list of major projects of the Quebec Treasury Board. The awarded professional consultants have completed the preparation of an opportunity file of the project. Development of the project is not anticipated before the end of the blue subway line extension and construction of Light Rail Train (LRT) lines on the new Champlain Bridge anticipated in 2031. Project will be followed in a new separate report when it proceeds to a design stage. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
