Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a industrial development.
Construction of a new container trans-shipment hub in Port Alberni. The facility will be a fully automated container terminal, able to efficiently handle any size vessel, including new Ultra Large Container Ships up to 22,000 TEUs. This project would create one of the largest container terminals in Canada. TIMELINE: Conceptual planning is ongoing while the owner seeks investors and government support for the project to proceed. Once funding is in place, a detailed feasibility study and environmental impact study will be undertaken. An update may be available in late summer 2026, pending funding.
