Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Construction of a new facility to be located in the Southwood lands on the Fort Garry campus. TIMELINE: An RFP for design architect has been issued by the owner. The Federal Government has committed $60 million to build the new centre. Fundraising of the additional $40 million required is ongoing. Construction may commence in 2027 and be completed in 2029. Updates will be made upon award of contract. **This RFP is for a DA only. A complementary team, including the Architect of Record (AOR), Engineers and other consultants necessary to support the Design Architect will form part of a forthcoming separate, second-stage RFP for those services. The DA will form part of the evaluation team of the second-stage RFP. The estimated construction budget for the project is $80,000,000.
