Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Design plans call for the construction of a 62,000-square-foot, two-story above grade swimming pool; and fitness / recreation center.
Renewal of the Rollie Miles Athletic Field District Park, located in the Queen Alexandra neighbourhood. Scope of work to include a new Rollie Miles Recreation Centre to serve as a replacement for Scona Pool and include an 8-lane pool, single court gymnasium, multi-purpose room, fitness centre, and washrooms and storage to support exterior spaces including an outdoor skating loop. Scope of work includes the demolition of the existing Scona Pool. TIMELINE: Project is on hold pending funding as well as owner's decision to proceed. Design Development was completed 2 years ago; there is currently no additional approvals or funding to proceed into detailed design. At this time, owner does not anticipate this project moving forward until the 2027-2030 capital budget cycle. Further update early 2027. *Estimated overall construction budget is $30.4 million.
