Site work and remodeling of a water / sewer project in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the remodel of a water / sewer project.
Upgrades to the North End Sewage Treatment (NEWPCC) plant. Project includes 3 components: Upgrades to the Power Supply and Headworks Facilities. Biosolids Facilities Project (work consists of new digesters, thermal hydrolysis equipment, phosphorous recovery equipment and sludge handling facilities); and Nutrient Removal Facilities Project (the project will provide for biological nutrient removal at the NEWPCC and address regulatory requirements regarding effluent quality limits and the minimizing of chemicals). TIMELINE: Red River Solutions, a 50/50 joint venture between Aecon and Oscar Renda Contracting of Canada Inc. has been awarded a $272 million design-build contract by the City of Winnipeg for the North End Sewage Treatment Plant (NEWPCC) Upgrade: Headworks Facilities Project in Winnipeg, Manitoba. *Total cost for the Biosolids facilities is $552.71 million; and $828.06 for the Nurtirent Removal facilities.
