In accordance with the Intermodal Station District Plan, the city will provide a pedestrian bridge across the Niles Subdivision railroad track. The bridge will create a seamless pedestrian spine connecting the Station East to the Station District area. Construction of a overcrossing, create a pedestrian link from the Intermodal Station District and BART to the planned Research and Development Campus. Undergrounding of PG&E power lines Pedestrian bridge will create a 1/4 mile walkway from job centers to BART, instead of at least a mile walk, unleash the potential future job growth and the ability for the adjacent industrial lands to share in the benefi ts of improved transit facilities and the nearby amenities within the Station District.
