Site work and renovation of a transportation facility in Alexandria, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
This project will fund a set of low cost improvements to the existing Kiss-and-Ride and bus loading area at the Van Dorn Metrorail Station to enhance access to the station for all modes of transit. These improvements will focus on lower cost solutions such as restriping and minor physical improvements. Van Dorn Metro Station has one of the highest rates of shuttle usage within the City, with many people accessing the station through private shuttles. As of December 12, 2019, this project is included City of Alexandria 2020-2029 CIP. Information regarding design firm and general contractor selection or method of selection has not been disclosed.
