This project will allow for improvements to the Perry Creek Channel beginning at Stone Park Boulevard north towards the headwaters in Plymouth County. Water quality improvements aimed at reducing bank destabilization and infrastructure loss will be evaluated. A study is currently underway to assess and document the current state of the Perry Creek channel and identify areas of greatest concern. Justification: Perry Creek has historically seen high erosion rates, bank failure, and excessive sediment loads. IDNR has listed Perry Creek as an impaired water way for habitat loss. Identification and prevention is the key to reducing future costs and repairs As of April 24, 2024, information regarding design firm and general contractor selection has not been disclosed.
