This project will involve acquisition to improve turning movements at the Floyd/Dace intersection. In its present condition, the Floyd/Dace intersection is very difficult for large trucks to maneuver through. Justification: In its present condition, the Floyd/Dace intersection is very difficult for large trucks to maneuver through. This maneuvering difficulty hampers the ability of the stockyards area to attract industry. This intersection will be effected by the I-29 reconstruction and will be designed to accommodate the lane configurations constructed by the Iowa Department of Transportation. This project is included in the city's fy 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program. As of March 6, 2025, further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
