Demolition, site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a civil project in Hobart, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

As of March 28 the project is awarded to ICC Group for $6,387,623.10. Bids are solicited for the replacement of Lake County Bridge No. 253 which carries 3rd Street over Lake George, with multiple precast concrete culverts. Additional work will include the installation of lighting, masonry panels, decorative railing, decorative lake wall and architectural features, the removal and resetting of pavers, decorative sidewalks, brick piers, and various site furnishings. Work shall take place on 3rd Street over Lake George and in Lakefront Park. Contractors that do not purchase copies of the Specifications and Contract Documents from the aforementioned office of Butler, Fairman, and Seufert, Inc., shall not be deemed an official plan holder, and shall not be qualified to submit a bid for the project. Copies of the documents are available for examination at the Office of Clerk-Treasurer of the City of Hobart. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms and in the order identified and contained in the Contract Documents obtainable from the offices as stated above. Each bid shall be accompanied by a completely filled-out and signed Form No. 96 (latest revision), including questionnaire, and attachment of Contractor's Financial Statement as stipulated in Section III. Each bid shall also include acceptable Bid Security, and submissions required under the City of Hobart Responsible Bidding Practices Ordinance as amended, the State of Indiana E-Verify statement and affidavit, and Iran investment statement. Any bid not accompanied by the above-required items shall be deemed to be a non-responsive bid. Three copies of all required bid documents shall be submitted. No Bidder may withdraw its proposal within a period of 60 days following the date scheduled for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Owner further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the Contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of the City of Hobart or to reject all bids. Bids must comply with the City of Hobart Responsible Bidding Practices Ordinance as amended. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check made payable to the City of Hobart or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to 10% of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana and whose name appears on the current Treasury Department Circular 570. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price will be required from the Contractor to whom the work is awarded. OTHER PROVISIONS: as part of compliance with the City of Hobart Responsible Bidding Practices Ordinance as amended, bidders will be required to refrain from any discrimination on account of race, religion, gender, color, national origin or disability under Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended and under the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended and under any other applicable legislation, state or federal, prohibiting, discrimination in employment and contracts directly or indirectly relating to the project.
