**As of 3/3/2021 project was already awarded for $1,117,531.30. The intent of this project is to construct an eight foot (8') wide concrete multi-use path along the north side of Perdido Key Drive, formally SR-292. The project begins at the Alabama/Florida state line, and extends to the western boundary of Perdido Key State Park. The path will provide ADA access with detectable warning mat provided at each cross-street location. All existing driveways will be reconstructed with new asphalt or concrete aprons. Pedestrian access will be restricted during construction of the path with installation of Lane Channelizing Devices (LCDs). Significant utility adjustment/protection is necessary to achieve the proposed scope. Relocation of existing water services to be included in the scope of construction. Other utilities are present within the project area as well and the proposed treatment of each is outlined in the construction plans. The path will pass through areas designated as critical wildlife habitat. The permanent habitat impact is 0.75 acres. Habitat is to be protected, managed, and maintained on the project site.
