Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a 110,000-square-foot, six-story above grade educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and theater / auditorium.
Construction of a 6-storey academic building will be home to the School of Cities as its primary occupant, and will include spaces for the Faculties of Arts, Law, and Music. The new building will also feature a recital hall + a publicly-accessible ground floor with a cafe and pedestrian connections to the adjacent Falconer Hall and Edward Johnson Building. The McLaughlin Planetarium will be demolished prior to proceeding with this project. Properties are: 78-90 Queen's Park. TIMELINE: Scope of work has changed. New square footage has yet to be finalized by the owner. The demolition of the McLaughlin Planetarium has been awarded; details are followed on a separate report. Work to prepare the site for construction (demolition) will begin July 2025. Further update late 2025 / early 2026.
