As of October 10, 2019, this is a design-build contract, and an engineering design firm and prime contractor have been selected. The prime contractor will be conducting the procurements for sub-contractors. The original solicitation is preserved below for reference. The City of San José (CITY) is soliciting Proposals from short-listed design-build entities (Respondents) to design, construct, test, commission, and obtain governmental approvals for the San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility Headworks Project (PROJECT). This Request for Proposals (RFP) is the second step in a two-step procurement process conducted by the CITY pursuant to Public Contract Code Sections 22160 through 22169. All Respondents that submit a Proposal for the PROJECT (Proposers) must fully complete the RFP package and provide all materials requested herein. No Proposal will be accepted from a Proposer that has failed to comply with these requirements. Through the Proposal evaluation process described in Section 5 hereof, the CITY will rank the Proposers. The Proposer that is determined to have submitted the best value Proposal and enters into the Design-Build Contract with the CITY shall be the Design - Builder.
