As of September 28,2023, a design team has been identified. Per owner, project is early in scope and anticipate construction in 2025. For design services for the Hennepin Ave Suspension Bridge Rehabilitation project for the Public Works Transportation Project Delivery Department. The project is located in the city of Minneapolis ("City") along County State Aid Highway (CSAH) No. 52 (Hennepin Avenue) over the Mississippi River. The County seeks to rehabilitate Bridge 27636 along with adjacent bridges 27537 & 27538. The County will use a Qualifications-Based Selection (QBS) process to select a Proposer to provide allencompassing design engineering services suitable for bridge rehabilitation that addresses structural and aesthetic items to extend the service life of a suspension bridge and two steel girder structures. This is a QBS process, pricing shall not be submitted with proposals. A minimum SMBE participation goal of 7% has been established for this project based on the applicable scopes of work and an analysis of the availability of SMBE firms to perform that work. Only self-performed work by CERT-certified SMBE firms will be credited toward the selected proposer's goal attainment.
