Site work and new construction of a museum in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 96,681-square-foot, one-story above grade museum.
Construction of a new collections facility at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum. The new facility, to be known as the Collections Facility East (CFE), will provide not only museum quality indoor storage, protection, and preservation of historic objects but also safe access for the objects relocation and personnel activity. The CFE will be built on the eastern part of the Reynolds Campus and will provide storage for large, sensitive, and irreplaceable historic objects (both aviation and non-aviation objects). TIMELINE: A Request for Proposals from Construction Management Services closed at the owner on January 31, 2019; no awards were made. The project has been cancelled by the owner at this time. Coverage of this report is discontinued. Construction budget is $34 million. Cost consultant is Rider Levett Bucknall (Canada) Ltd. *Project inquiries must only be directed to the owner.
