Renovation of a mixed-use development in Danville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,429-square-foot conference / convention center; and educational facility.
The Project shall include renovations to the existing conference facilities Bid Bond: Five Percent of Bid Amount (calculated on Base Bid) Performance and Payment Bonds: The Contractor shall obtain a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in substantially the same form as attached hereto, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Contract Award: Any award will be made to the Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder. To determine the Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder who may be awarded a Contract for the Work, the criteria set forth in or requested pursuant to this ITB and the Instructions to Bidders may be considered Liquidated Damages: Bidder agrees to pay as Liquidated Damages the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day that the Project extends beyond the designated date for Substantial Completion. In addition, Bidder further agrees to pay the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day that this Project extends beyond the date of Final Completion. Bidder agrees to obtain Substantial Completion for this project within one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days
