Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Galt, California. Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The proposed project consists of the replacement of the existing movable swing, steel bridge with a new concrete structure and concrete approaches at Twin Cities Road at Snodgrass Slough, two miles east of River Road in south Sacramento County. The project is funded by the Federal Highway Bridge Program, and the SB1 Local Streets and Road (LSR) Program. Note: The Highway Bridge Program (HBP) Federal funded project delivery schedule is contingent on the availability of HBP funding which is indeterminate at this time. The project is included in the County 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 15, 2025, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
