Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Quincy, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 68,150-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
As of August 7, 2019, this project is under construction and will be completed Fall, 2019. All trades have been let. Work consists of constructing a new 68,150 square foot elementary school building predominately constructed of CMU bearing walls (exterior) and structural steel supporting a light gauge metal deck and TPO roof. Exterior walls are clad with masonry veneer and metal panels in select areas. An ICC-500 Rated Storm Shelter (gymnasium); shall be constructed of precast concrete wall panels, concrete roof planks and a TPO roof. Interior walls are constructed of metal studs and drywall. The building is single story and has a slab on grade concrete floor. Site construction consists of earth excavation and grading; topsoil; erosion control; storm sewers; sanitary sewers; domestic water mains; light poles, foundations, and fixtures; hot-mix asphalt surfacing; and other miscellaneous work.
