The proposed improvement includes but is not limited to the following 706 Maine St o Removal and replacement of the existing Roof o Removal and replacement of the existing Windows and flashings o All work relating to exterior masonry repairs o Removal and replacement of the existing exterior columns o Interior basement door demolition and wall construction The undersigned Bidder agrees to execute a contract for this Work in the above amount and to furnish surety as specified within 10 days after a written Notice of Award, if offered within 60 days after receipt of bids, and on failure to do so agrees to forfeit to Owner the attached cash, cashier's check, certified check, U.S. money order, or bid bond, as liquidated damages for such failure, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid amount above. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum. The Township of Quincy, in accordance with the Laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all Bidders that the Township reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive minor informalities or technicalities, to advertise for new bids, or to request confirmation or clarification from any bidder regarding information contained in a bid. The Township will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to a responsible and responsive Bidder without discrimination on the ground of race, color or national origin, but the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids received and to waive formalities. Work consists of: 1) Exterior column replacement. 5. Base Bid E a. Work consists of Base Bid A, Base Bid B, Base Bid C and Base Bid D. Base bid E does not need to be a total of A + B + C + D. 6.
