Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Project will involve the following: sanitary sewer replacement, sanitary sewer manholes, sanitary sewer service reconnection, sanitary sewer abandonment, 8" PCC pavement, 6" PCC driveway, and 4" PCC sidewalk. Specified Start Date: April 4, 2022 Substantial Completion Date: July 20, 2022 Final Completion Date: August 19, 2022 Liquidated Damages: $500 per day The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and in the form shown in Section 0510, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City, and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all materials and labor, and also protect and save harmless the City from all claims and damages of any kind caused directly or indirectly by the operation of the contract, and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement for a period of five (5) year(s) from and after its completion and formal acceptance by the City Council. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and also reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities.
