The Work includes the following major items: The work generally includes upgrade of the existing Broadneck Secondary Clarifiers #1, #2, and #3, including but not limited to: demolition of existing and installation of new sludge removal mechanisms, bridge, and scum removal system in secondary clarifiers 1, 2, and 3; structural rehab of clarifiers 1, 2, and 3; demolition of existing and installation of new scum pump and mixer in the remote scum box; demolition of existing and installation of new electrically actuated gates in the RAS distribution box and secondary clarifier distribution box; replacement of four existing RAS pumps and suction piping inside RAS building, associated electrical and controls work; temporary bypass pumping and all associated appurtenances and any other work necessary to complete the project at the Broadneck WRF. This Contract will be constructed under the provisions of the Anne Arundel County Government January, 2001 Standard Details and Specifications for Construction and any subsequent revisions thereto.
