This project provides for a protected bicycle lane (cycle track) on Union St from Hill Ave to Arroyo Pkwy, which will provide an alternative mode of travel connecting Metro Gold Line stations to major institutions and employment centers. The primary project components consist of traffic signal and civil improvements including modifications to 14 signalized intersections and installation of six new traffic signals, construction of raised medians, corner extensions and accessible ramps, and road resurfacing and slurry seal coupled with striping and signing. This project is included in the City of Pasadena's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of September 12, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available.
