Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in New London, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway.
The project consists of approximately 5,700 linear feet of sidewalk improvements, striping of bike lanes, and intersection improvements to support multi-modal uses of Williams Street between Gordon Court and the Waterford town line. Also included are driveway reconstruction, removal and replacement of bituminous concrete, curbing, installation of new street trees and plantings, and installation of new decorative lighting. The bidder agrees that 8% of the awarded contract value shall be performed by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) certified by the Connecticut Department of Transportation as a sub- contractor or owner-operator of construction equipment. The bidder must indicate with their Bid, the DBE firm(s) it intends to utilize to meet the above stated percentage and submit the Pre-Award DBE Commitment Approval Request with the bid forms
