For the improvement of certain section of highways and bridges in SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, HOP BOTTOM and LATHROP TOWNSHIPS, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, STATE ROUTE 0011, SECTIONS ERS/RS1. The purpose of this project is to install various low cost safety improvements as well as to provide a safe & functional transportation network that allows users to get to their destinations. Roadway shoulders, drainage and signing will be brought up to current design standards to improve safety. The Rural Community Collector will be constructed with improvements that include: - Advanced signing and striping around sharp curves. - Full depth widening of both existing shoulders to 4'6" throughout the project limits. - Edgeline Rumble Strips constructed along northbound and southbound shoulders. - New guide rail will be installed to current design standards. - Minor improvements to roadside drainage systems including swales, driveway pipes and cross drain headwalls. All work contained within an overall length of 30,275 linear feet (5.734 miles) as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package.
